  • Living Naturally Soapnut Powder made from Organic Soapnuts can be used as a laundry powder and as a hair and skin cleanser as well!

Soapnuts are highly valued by the rural people of India for washing clothes and as a naturally produced shampoo for washing their hair and for getting rid of dandruff. This is why some botanists have named the species as Sapindus detergens.

Soapnuts are highly-effective and gentle at the same time. It will leave your laundry fresh and clean and compared to other powder detergents, its mildness will keep colours bright, maintaining fabric structure of your clothes for longer periods. It can be used on all fabrics and at all temperatures. Great for all washing machines especially energy efficient machines & great for all allergy sufferers.

  • INGREDIENTS: 100% Pure Organic Sapindus Mukorossi (soapnut) powder.

HOW TO USE: Add 2 tablespoons of the soapnut powder into a sock and tie securely. Place sock amongst laundry in the washing machine drum and wash as directed. After wash has finished, discard all unused soapnut powder from sock in compost/bin/green recycling.

  • HOW TO USE FOR HAIRCARE AND SKINCARE: Our Organic Soapnut powder can be used as a mild cleanser for skin and hair by mixing with water to form a paste. This paste can then be used to scrub your face/body/scalp to cleanse and exfoliate to reveal healthier skin and hair.

HOW TO USE: Mix equal amounts of soapnut powder and liquid* to form a paste (yoghurt like consistency). Massage paste into hair and scalp, thoroughly wash out and dry as normal.

      wish I discovered them sooner

I received my order of ground soapnuts (powder) from you last week and I have to say I think they're amazing! I'm going to try other products in your range now as I have always suffered with skin problems - I just wish I'd found you sooner!

      Bye bye shampoo!

I'd been trying to go poo-free for a while and this soapnut powder has been by far the best solution. My hair and scalp feel healthier than ever. Also, I only need to wash my hair once every five days or so now. However, I would definitely recommend using alongside a cider vinegar wash because of the powder's astringency. And close your eyes tight when using because it can sting!

Thank you for your kind words. We sell our Hair Rinse Conditioner which has apple cider vinegar in it.

      Brilliant but be careful

The first time I used these I followed the instructions and my machine leaked bubbles all over the floor, soap nuts really are soapy. Now I put 1 tablespoon powder in a little bag your soap comes in, add some boiling water in a jam jar (about 2cm in the bottom) and then pour the "tea" into the powder drawer of the machine. Works a treat. I am going to try making some shampoo next by adding a drop or two of lavender or rosemary oil to the "tea" mixture.
