Using Soapnuts Around The House

- 500ml soapnut liquid

- 500ml distilled water

- 1/2 cup white vinegar

- 1 tbsp 91% Isopropyl Alcohol

- 15 drops lemon essential oil

Isopropyl alcohol can be bought at a local pharmacy.

Fill a 2 Litre bottle with all the ingredients, close tightly and give it a good shake.

When you are ready to use pour into a spray bottle.

Fill a spray bottle with 400ml soapnut liquid, 100ml white vinegar, 20 drops of lavender essential oil, 20 drops of tea tree essential oil, 20 drops of eucalyptus oil.

Freeze some soapnut liquid into ice cubes, and when you are ready to put on a load, just drop two cubes into the cutlery tray.

Add 500 ml soapnut liquid to 1 litre of water and use in a portable steam cleaner. Great for getting out urine smells and dirt.

White Vinegar

Add equal amounts of water and soapnut liquid and 2-3 tablespoons of white vinegar. Shake well, spray and wipe off. Polish dry with newspaper or kitchen towels.

Soapnut Powder

Mix a paste of soapnut powder and water and apply to jewellery. Rub vigorously either with a cloth or toothbrush, rinse well, dry and polish.

2. You can use essential oil or floral water in the recipes above. Recommended essential oils or floral waters to use for recipes above: Citronella, Neem, Tea Tree, Lavender.
   
   PLEASE DO NOT ADD ESSENTIAL OILS IF YOU WANT TO WASH YOUR CAT. ESSENTIAL OILS CAN BE FATAL TO CATS. IF IN DOUBT CHECK WITH YOUR VET.
